MY PHILOSOPHY

The Full Scoop

I believe honesty should be the basis of any business relationship.

I publish my rates publicly and charge the same for every event category. I don't believe in "Call For a Quote!" so the client is reeled into a sales pitch and charged differently from other clients. I don't charge 'per mile', and there are never any 'hidden fees.' If a DJ company doesn't honestly list their price online - you probably don't want to pay it.

ABOUT

DJ Hayley

I grew up in southern New Hampshire and was raised to be honest, respectful, understanding, and kind. My instincts in music stem from my mother's side - my grandfather played in the Army band, owned a music store, and recorded several albums on vinyl; and my mother and cousin have always enjoyed singing.

I didn't realize that I have any musical talent until I joined my elementary school choir at 11 years old, but I soon found myself earning awards, solos, and recognition. I taught myself how to sing and play piano, and took every music class and choir offered in school. I was president of my high school Concert Choir, voted Best Female Vocalist both Junior and Senior years, and was selected to perform in many Chamber Choirs.


At age 16 I sang at Carnegie Hall; and at age 18 I was chosen as 1 of only 300 women in the United States to sing in the National Women's Honor Choir in New York City. A few years later I was honored to open for and meet Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductees ‘The Platters’, and musical legends Bobby Vee and Dee Dee Sharp at a benefit concert.

My cousin was also a DJ so I began learning everything that I could from her, and I enjoyed it so much that quickly I started my own mobile entertainment business at only 18 years old. I've been lucky enough to DJ some unique events – a pig roast, traditional Indian wedding, river cruise, military ball, and even weddings on boats to name a few!

My parents always played oldies, country, and classic rock when I was a kid, and my older sister played all of the newest music that came out. Growing up in such a diverse musical environment created a deep appreciation in me for both older classics and the newest hits, which is conveyed when I DJ.

Science has always been a passion of mine as well, so I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health Sciences/Clinical Laboratory Science. When I'm not DJing, you can find me in the lab or I'm camping, hiking, reading, taking pictures, traveling, or singing some local karaoke with my husband!


I ALWAYS put the client first, and it is extremely important to me to earn and maintain trust. I have been a bride and host and understand exactly how stressful planning a wedding or event is, so I want you to feel confident in your choice, and worry about nothing. I’m not afraid to go above and beyond if it makes your day perfect! Thank you for your consideration!

Something on your mind?

First and foremost, I absolutely love what I do and I'm very easygoing. If you have a question, concern, issue, or completely bizarre request, I'm all ears. I want you to have the utmost confidence and trust in me as I understand how stressful and time-consuming event planning is. When you book with me I want you to be completely comfortable in your decision and never worry about the entertainment portion of your event again. Email is best for me, but feel free to text, call, or message me on my website at any time if you need me. Below are some Frequently Asked Questions.

WHAT IF I NEED TO ADD HOURS?

If you know beforehand that you'll need additional hours, just mention it in the message when you book. But don't worry, if you decide you'd like an extension during the event, it's no problem then either.

CAN WE SPEAK BEFORE BOOKING?

Absolutely! I've added online booking for your convenience, but if you're more comfortable emailing, hearing my voice, or even meeting before you book, I'd be delighted to hear from you!

HOW FAR DO YOU TRAVEL?

I try to only do events within 3 hours of zip code 01830 to decrease travel delays and complications, and to avoid needing overnight accommodations.

However, since I enjoy what I do - if your event is farther than that, just email or message me with the event type, address, and general information and I'll be happy to discuss it with you.
